Taste The Difference at Hosfords New “Blue Geranium Café”
Hosfords new Slow Food inspired café “the Blue Geranium” is now open for all green-fingered food lovers. Sample our sumptuous seasonal fare, prepared fresh on the premises daily using the very best of local Irish artisan and organic ingredients from Slow Food and Fuschia producers.
We offer a range of open sandwiches on homemade breads such as Rosscarbery honey-glazed bacon or Ummera smoked chicken and daily quiche specials including quiche Lorraine with Gubbeen bacon or Ardsallagh goatscheese and summer beetroot, all served with tantalising salads and organic greens. We have a full salad bar with fresh fruit salads, citrus couscous with roast vegetables and garlic roast potato with rosemary and thyme, which changes daily.
On weekends our menu includes more substantial fare such as Irish beef and red wine casserole with creamy mash, organic baked salmon with roast Mediterranean vegetables and lentil and summer vegetable pie with white turnip mash.
Blue Geranium Customers can indulge in a double chocolate brownie or spiced orange cake prepared by our in-house pastry chef or a big bowl of fresh strawberries and cream from Bushbys Farm. We also offer a range of cakes for coeliacs.
With the Blue Geranium Café and the new 2 million Euro, eco-built, sustainable Garden Centre, Hosfords have created a bright, welcoming, family-friendly environment with a playground for children. Sample the delights of the Blue Geranium Café, come for morning coffee, linger for lunch or meet for afternoon tea, Tuesdays to Friday, 10 to 4.30pm, Saturdays 10am to 5pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.
